I had porcelain veneers done 5 years ago, and it TOTALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. The confidence that followed was HUGE, and did wonders to my social life. It fixed more in 2 weeks than braces would have in 2 years... but each case is different.

$700 per tooth actually (more if you go to dentists with the full page ads and TV commercials). I had my top 4 done. They were crooked and had a gap you can fit a dime through.

For maintenence? I brush and floss my teeth every day :D yes, in other words, there is no maintenence. You'd have to have really bad oral hygene and let your gums recede out of oral negligence, but at that point it would be the least fo your worries.

I don't know how much braces are nowadays, but the price for a quick and long lasting fix (receding gums by old age rather than hygene) is worth it.

Here's the kicker... my company's health care flex dollars plan paid for it. I was able to combine the previous and current year's flex dollars to pay for it all (1 year carry-over).

Congrats! Mine should be off in about a month or two max. Only had them on for 18 months. Wax is my savour.

Nice teeth are needed. Congrats on the long process of getting them! :)

People, TEETH are KEY:
- Visit the dentist every 6/8 months
- Get braces if need and you can (they are expensive :()
- Brush daily (twice or thrice is best)
- floss is fun, do it

(glad I never had to have braces, but I admire those who make the choice and gitter' done)
