Great party!! Wasnt top 5, but wasnt bottom 5 as well. Showed up around 1215 which was a perfect time and closed him out. Hearing forbidden fruit was awesome.....was a very twilo-ish set.

Didnt really get packed at all like his shows usually do....plenty of room to dance all night!

You people that keep saying "paul made up for" or "paul knew he let us down last time" or"paul played this way because...." are really thinking wayyyyyyy to into it.......

What was up with the line for the girls bathroom, it was like 45-1hr long???? reminded me of some of the lonnnnnng roxy lines.

How about the guy walking around handing out free acid? that was an interesting touch.

Anyway, had a blast like i always do at a pvd show. Backstage was BORING so i spent most of my time on the floor but it was good to see Natascha again.

ok, no one is going to give a about this story, but i need to get it off my chest!

i was so looking forward to hearing Let Go.... like, couldn't WAIT to hear it. i dont know why, but i just absolutely love that song, especially the original. and i had to pee for the longest time, but the line to the girls bathroom SERIOUSLY have about 50 or more people in it every time i went down there, and i just refused to stand in it. and every time i went down to the bathroom to see if the situation improved, i always instructed someone "please call me if he plays Let Go.. i KNOW he is going to play it as soon as i go down there." and about 10 different times i went down, got in line, got right out, went upstairs. finally by the end of the night, i just couldn't stand it anymore. I stood in the pee line for IDK how long, and SURE ENOUGH, as soon as i got into the stall i could hear that ing song. i was sooooooooooooo pissed :(

//end totally pointless story

some lyrics for the last track, im in love with the track!

last night i drank all the away
i slept (being) in your car (/arms?)
i swore till the day i die
i swear i won't forget

my body is far away
the time forever mine (?)
look around (the world) (?)

let's stay there
what has gone
it's gone i'm afraid
you cannot (erase?)

lets stay there
where we were
you know i changed
everything changes

___________
the pain put me asleep
it's the bonds that never left
the way me and she weep (?)
it has no ___ at all
___ through the love of your skin (?)
the waters shall light the sky

lets stay there
what has gone
its gone i'm afraid
you cannot erase

lets stay there
where we were
you know i changed
everything changes

we are the change
we are the change
we are the changeeee

we are the change
we are the change
we are the changeeee

l... what has gone
it's gon i'm afraid
you cannot undo (?)

let's stay there
where we were
you know i changed
everything changes

last night i drank all the away
i slept (being) in your car
i swore till the day i die
i swear i won't forget

thank you!!

and now, on to my official review, since i'm still not tired for some ungodly reason...

I bought my PVD ticket the SECOND i saw it posted, no lie. Thought for sure a lot more of my DC peeps would go as well. After a few weeks of no one buying tickets, i was going to end up coming with just Leo... but the night before he tells me that b/c of circumstances with DC passing a ban selling 1/2 pint liquor, he and other liquor store owners were going to be protesting that night, so he couldn't come. that put me on the fence, having no one to ride up with now, and then it got pushed on the edge after going to see Guy Gerber on thursday and getting no sleep. i was 99% NOT going.

but at 4:59 i made a hasty decision. so to the Bolt Bus, and if by the grace of God there is a seat available for cash, its a sign that i should go. not only did that one seat almost not happen, but somehow i enddd up getting on.

I was there almost from the begining, and thought Jason Jollins had a PHENOMENAL set. really great jason!! Big Mike was the first perso i bumped into. I also bumped into him at 4Play in DC the night before, so it was kinda funny. Next I found Lyssa and Drew and was sooooo happy to get to wish them a happy anniversary :) Next Joey showed up, along with Ryan and a handful of other people, some of whom i hadn't seen in years. I also wasn't expecting to see groovanauts rueben, brianna, sayward, Lust-E, and a bunch of other NYTAs that i had missed immensely!! DirtyDave, i am so happy you made it out. it definitely HAS been a long time!! Also it was great getting to meet about 20 new NYTAs... and although i dont remember all their names, in particular, Uncle Ed, StarSoprano, EnigmaT, Jason (from philly), etc etc. really great to meet you.

Paul's set was, in my opinion, AWeSOME from start to finish. and although pvd had been my favorite dj for YEARS, i was really disappointed in his last show at glow and also some of the livesets i heard. there were a LOT of cynics out, and i think its safe to say he totally redeemed himself. he really banged it out for the entire night. there were a bunch of tracks i have never heard before, some really amazing tracks. hopefully someone got vids. he also played a bunch of classics and a few of my all-time faves. The crowd was not unreasonable, there was actually room to dance, and i dont think i stopped dancing the entire time. the crowd was totally going nuts the entire night, and i was 150% SO GLAD that i went.

thanks ryan & company, for allowing me to chill with you all afterwards. had a great time. the bus right back SUCKED but it was worth every second. :D overall rating of the night for me: 5/5.

i am now in love too!

the lyrics are a little different in this one though it seems...

lets stay there
where we were
cuz it will change
everything changes

in the cabin up in the woods
you painted me asleep
its the best i've ever looked
the way you see me

your hair is still soakin' wet
the steam peelin' off your skin
i really should write this down

lets stay there
[our hands locked?]
this polaroid frame
we can go there later

lets stay there
where we were
cuz it will change
everything changes

we all will change
we all will chagne
we all are changing

we all will change
we all will change
we all are changing

[our hands locked?]
this polaroid frame
we can go there later
let's stay there
where we were
cuz it will change
everything changes

last night we drank all the wine
i slept breathing in your breath
i swear til the day i die
i swear i wont forget

Had a great time, and I thank Heather (ColorDancer) for Driving, how she got me home I have no idea, all I remember is falling out of her car in my driveway at 8am..so thanks Heather and Jason, and to the Kiwi nest for pre-party. Hope James is doing ok.

Set was spot on the entire night, within the first few tracks, you knew if was going to be proper...great to see everyone again, and thanks to Grazi for letting me wear her scarf...
