Thought I'd share this one with you guys, as it's a bit of a non-serious track. Those of you who owned a SNES are sure to appreciate it... ^_^

Well, it's not like I'm trying to get this thing signed and release it upon the masses. I just made it for fun and good times. But I'm glad you at least thought it sounded good. ^_^

I *could* just revamp all the melodic parts and make a dark electro track and try to get that signed, but pffffffft... what fun would that be? :P

i think it sounds awsome, i love the bass line when it kick in on 1:19 really groovy. can i just ask you one question, im a bit of a noob so sorry if its obvious. I notice in the percusion one of the claps is dragged out and gives a swooshing effect. Ive been messing round with my percusion but i can work out how this is produced?

The claps are 4 components.
1) Recorded myself on my $5 microphone going "kshhhhhh". Applied noise reduction and filters. Added reverb and chorus. Pitched it up 14 semitones.
2) Flavoured white noise with an envelope and a bunch of reverb... I can't remember how I made this; I've been using it in my tracks forever.
3) A cheesy "door slam" sound. It's been overamplified to the point of massive clipping for distortion, then pitched up *4 octaves*. An envelope is put on so its duration is 1/12 of a beat. It is played two times in quick succession; the first time comes 1/24 of a beat before the moment the actual beat happens, the 2nd immediately on the clap.
4) Whoosh on every 2nd clap. Took a regular hand-clap, added a ton of reverb, then reversed it. It's timed so that the sample ends exactly when the clap begins.

Here's a quality .mp3 that will let you hear what's going on.
