Hey all, I'm a newbie here and in dire need of some help.. I don't know many different artists and I'm not an expert on trance, but I know what I like and I absolutely looove tracks like "Falling" by First State ft Anita Kelsey http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=4h7cQ...feature=related (I actually prefer the tiesto mix http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=8W1wP...feature=related the part at 5:13 is so amazing it brings tears to my eyes) and "Fall to pieces" by Jonas Steur and Jennifer Rene http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=-NVh3WUCMic

I don't even know what you call this sort of trance, uplifting maybe?? :conf:

I basically like anything from tiesto's "in search of sunrise" sets and am a huge fan of armin van buuren's state of trance..

So here I am trying to find out if any of you could please suggest any similar tracks/artists?

I would prefer tracks that are available on itunes as I hate buying whole albums just to get a few songs that I like, but any suggestions are more than welcome!

Thanks heaps in advance!!!

alright, I guess I'll be helpful today.

Check out Luminary tracks like Amsterdam, My World, and Wasting. Also, The Horrorist - One Night in NYC is pretty decent as well.

Basically, what you're looking at is trite vocal trance.
Mr.Mystery
FYI - Tiësto remix of Falling doesn't exist.

lol, I was taking the piss with the last suggestion. As far as the trite thing goes, I don't think it's really a matter of taste, the lyrics in Falling are trite :p

I guess it could be debatable. Luminary has impeccable production behind their tracks though imo. And somewhat better than average lyrics about love and whoredom.

I have a shameful soft spot for Luminary - Amsterdam. :clown:

atb remix with cant sleep is sweet, aswell as their sweet surrender remix with tranquility base - jochen millers tracks are good aswell.

whats your fav in search on sunrise album, will maybe help narrow down the type of music your looking for

also try richard durand, ferry corsten and giussepe ottaviani stuff

I know what you mean, and at certain stages in my life I would've screamed "corny" if I'd heard that song...but it's funny, at the moment I'm in a situation where I can really identify with those lyrics (simple as they are). Having said that, if the melody was different I probably wouldn't like it...

@fromAbove, thanks heaps! very nice list!!

kevm67, it's nearly imposssible to pick, but probably in search of sunrise 2.

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions guys! :D
