You get what you pay for?

Seriously though it would be interesting to see the pitch resolution on these things.

The CD tray for the 202 made me spew a little.

Ever think of a DVS ? Torq is ~$350 US - Just thinking /w those Techs...

My thoughts exactly. Pick up Torq for under 300 bucks and you can use your Techs with your mp3s.

Might I suggest against the slide out CD tray? we all know how that will end when your changing CDs in a hurry.

Lol that tray made me pee a little. Im sure its not deathly terrible, but it looks pretty bad. You could spring for one cdj-200 and serato with a crap mixer. Serato will let you mix with one turntable.

yup, that's the problem with the stanton cdjs

also it looks like there's no scratch function- that big-ass platter for "pitch" and "search" only? wtf
Inrush
oh man that thing looks like crap

that was my other option... and that tray made me :nervous: as well!

my setup needs to be put up and taken down after I am done... so the techs are just to much deal with... take out of box and put back in etc. I havent set it up for months and i cant spend the $$$ on records right now so it gets real boring. I was thinking of selling my setup but i cant bring myself to do it... so its all just sitting there in boxes... I have 2 kids now so its going to be some time till i can spend the cash on a good digit setup.

The other option is to go with something like an Xponent. It comes with a built in soundcard and Torq. You can find them online for under 500 bucks. I don't know if you scratch. If you do, that'd pretty much be the only limitation to it.

The thing that irks me about off-brand CDJs like is are that you never get to know what the pitch resolution is. Can you get on the phone with a Gemini rep and see if these decks change pitch in more than .1% increments?

Also, that disc tray...
