Me too. I really liked it, and that was easily the best German-speaking film I've ever seen.
That's my concept of art  |
I actually preferred Twyker's other film with Franka Potente, The Princess and the Warrior (Der Krieger und die Kaiserin).

Both excellent films. |

very good titles.
didn't think JSA was that good though. |
Any special reason why you didn't like it?

I actually prefer La Femme Nikita to Leon, but they are both excellent films. Leon doesn't really seem like a "foreign" film though, even though Besson directed it.
Of course, for the context of this thread, the word "foreign" is entirely relative. |

| i find it really hard to get into non-english films. there's so much emphasis and meaning lost when you dont understand the language. |

Well it does depend on the quality of the subtitlesin that case. But even then i find that I get just as into french and asian films as into english ones even though i can barely understand a word of french or any other asian anguage.
Speaking of french films, if you want some good comedy i would recommend Taxi 1 & Taxi 2 (much much better than that crappy us remake staring that fat, ugly, talentless whore), and Le Gendarme de St. Tropez (ing awesome).
Also Wounds, and We are not angels. Both from the same director that made Pretty Village, Pretty Flame which was recommended earlier. The marathon Family and Who's Singing Over There? are awesome as well. |
