Trying to walk up and down those narrow streets in the Annex is just brutal in the winter, after a few snow falls. Home owners don't shovel the sidewalks, and there are cars and snow drifts everywhere. Some how city planners 100 years ago did not have snow to deal with?

pretty much the same principle as a slanted roof
its designed so the snow doesnt stay on top, slides down
not to mention the material it is made out of contributes to its sliding

i mean, i dunno how often u see snowblocks falling from the sky

not really, ALOT of snow and ice would make it collapse. Most of the time, snow slides off by itself, or a little poking with a stick does wonder.
FunkyCrew
lol
looks pretty light to me hence why I said it might get blown away

Well, 100 years ago or more, they weren't really planning for cars en masse.
