It's made of plastic tarp like the tarp you use at camping, not saran wrap folks. I've seen them old up with 2 feet of snow and survived the great icestorm.
The trouble is... it's an eyesore. They're just purely practical rather than esthetic. They're banned in most municipalities around the GTA, including Aurora. There's one guy around the corner that has it up all year, but this bylaw is only enforced if someone complains. |

Its an eyesore when there's no snow, but there's a bylaw that permits them only from mid november to mid april. |
