Hey guys -- a quick show update:
I will be giving up hosting duties of "Silk Valleys" on ensonic.fm (new host is Russian progressive act "Deepsense") and, instead, taking over Silk Digital Records' Proton Show. The first episode, which airs Thursday morning at 3am, features NYC's own Frank Chiarello.
On behalf of Russian label Silk Digital Records, American DJ-producer Jacob Henry presents "Silk Textures," an exclusive two-hour show featuring the most current and inspiring progressive tracks. Each month, Jacob will be showcasing the latest releases from Silk and its affiliates, as well as music from other leading labels around the globe. The show will also feature a one-hour guest mix from an international DJ-producer -- an artist who shares Silk's overarching commitment to visionary and emotive electronic music.

Frank Chiarello is a NYC based producer and DJ, and resident of the well known collective, Core NYC. Along with the rest of the Core residents, he holds down a monthly residency at Sullivan Room: a premier underground nightclub in NYC. His inspired track selection has also found faithful homes in New York City (LOVE, Pacha, Webster Hall, Sullivan Room, Rebel, Touch, Sin Sin, etc) Philadelphia (Transit, Lounge 114, Level, XO Lounge, Chrome), and Miami (Hotel Marseilles, Shelley). At these top venues, he has shared the decks with some of the most talented names in EDM, including Dave Seaman, Christian Smith, Creamer & K, John O'Bir, John '00' Fleming, and Sean Tyas. He has also been a featured DJ on events with John Digweed, Kevin Saunderson, Andy Moor, Nic Fanciulli, Matthew Dekay, James Zabiela, Ozgur Can, Zoo Brazil, Paolo Mojo, Infected Mushroom, and many more.
His sound runs the gamut in terms of genre, but is always rooted on the darker side of things. His production work has also received strong support, with his first release to be released in early '09 on the excellent Teggno Records label, run by Lance Blaise, aka Tattoo Detectives.
Frank was also selected to be a member of the Balance Record Pool (www. balancerecordpool. com); a group of 40 DJ's who perform in and are advocates for the underground club scene. The pool won Best Record Pool at the IDMA's in 2005 and 2006, and has had elite participants such as Paul Van Dyk, Jimmy Van M, Danny Tenaglia, and Steve Lawler just to name a few.
