Nice vid, those Dassault Mirage III were always one of my favorites. Reminded me of the old US F-106 Delta Dart and the F-102 Delta Dagger.
Too bad that fancy pants flying is never what you'd really be doing in most modern air forces. :( |

| fighter pilots are bad ass. i have a female cousin who was a figher pilot in the navy (retired now). and all of my dad's best friends are ex marine harrier pilots and F18 pilots. i have a picture of me when i was like 4 sitting in the cockpit of a harrier lol |

| I won't say hes a friend, although I know him very well, but this guy I know, from college, wanted to be a fighter pilot because of Top Gun (he quoted it all the time, idolized it, etc). I guess he didn't realize dogfights and all that are a thing of the past, anyways. Takes the test, physical, all of that. Qualifies and is invited to become a navigator. He turned it down and everyone asked him why (its a pretty big deal) he replied, "I wanted to be Maverick, not Goose," what a douchebag. |
