Dogs become a part of the family. They're so much more than just pets. My condolences on your loss.

I'm not religious, but I still can't help believing that good souls go to a better place when they die. I'm sure your dog is in that better place. He had a good life and brought joy into the lives of others while he lived. What more can you ask for?

knowing you are doing what's best for your friend doesn't make it easy to have them put down. I said goodbye to one of my dogs of 12 years at the start of this year. I still miss Kai and I know my other dog does too, I remember her as the bouncy dog she was for most of her life, not just the old dog she looked towards the end.

I hate reading this kind of thing, because I know that one day I'll have to do the same thing to my dog, and it will probably be the most painful thing I'll ever have done. I know some people might think "it's just a dog" but I know that there's never been any "just" about it.

Deeply sorry for you, Rob.

Really sorry for your loss. My dog recently turned 14 so I can kinda feel where you're coming from, she's been having a lot of problems lately and it's heartbreaking.
