Tonight... music pervades my mind like nothing else, and I'm really thankful that the Mrs. and I heear the World with the same ears...
No mirrors here - everybody is unique. Our music tastes aren't 100%.. but our CD collections were almost identical before getting married... and haven't really grown that apart since...
Just trying to say that if you "feel" music.. and your girl feels it too.... just amazing....look for it.. |

Well, to get back on topic, I guess I'm very lucky then, like yourself. My fiancee and I both have a great love for electronica. We don't have the same tastes, by any means, but the amount of new music/styles we've introduced each other to, from each of our own tastes over the years, has been wicked wicked wicked :) |

Have you ever been to an ambient/drone concert...? Usually much more sociable event than a rave with epic vocal trance lol. |

My girlfriend loves Billy Joel, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, etc., so clearly we're way off from each other when it comes to music. She does like a lot of what I listen to, but she's not big on it because she just doesn't "get it" according to her.
That's fine. I mean, I hold music in a high regard to myself, but it's not her thing so I'm not going to give a if she doesn't like it. What I do like is that she'll go out with me to clubnights and dance, get high and go to a really small Ambient event and still have a good time, or let me blast Aphex Twin in the car.
Neither of us care, and I think that those who do and make a fuss about it should be slapped in the face. |
