| I have just one more thing. If Swamper is worried about people being able to trace illegal music files back to him, then why does he brand all his MP3s and livesets that he has up on his website? It seems to me that if I downloaded a full vinyl rip off this site, I would do some investigating and check to see if there is more free music to be had. |

its nothing like that. people who are looking to sue anyone with illegal tracks for distribution browse forums like these everyday so they can close down the sites. but this way: livesets arnt illegal, bcause theyre publically performed/on radio, and are constructed from other peoples tracks. i think theres sumthign about the seperate tunes being less of a legal landmine because they can be used as a promotional tune, especially promo vinyl rips. whereas with albums theyre realeased by ceratin artissts solely to gain some money for their work and effort, and if peopel go around sharing them then the artist gets less money, untill eventually they get hardly anything which can ruin them, so they sue peopel who distribute or are associated with the distribution of illegal album sharing (eg. this site if albums were shared). so basically swamper doesnt get sued if we dont share albums, capiche? |
