Can anyone recommend me some ambient tunes that are relatively DARK like Aphex Twin - Tree? I've been finding myself listening to this kind of stuff lately (don't know why) but don't have much too choose from. Many thanks. SMC Steve Roach - Texture Maps: The Lost Pieces Vol. 3 I think you could like the overall mood and ambience of this album. It's actually a collection of pieces from different periods but it really works as an album and it's a personal favorite of mine. The opening track "Gray And Purple" in particular is a real gem. I would also recommend the works of canaidian artist Aidan Baker. I like to listen to THIS ONE late at night.
