I checked all the computers that I work on or have access to (obviously, including my own) and I don't have Adobe Audition on any of them.
So, I've dled the mp3 direct cut stuff. I think this is what I used last time. |

| Don't know about mp3 direct cut, but Audacity is very easy to use. I'm horribly n00bish with computers but I could use it too, without anyone teaching it to me :p |

| The only way of using it I know is to tap CTRL+O to open the file, choose one and then mark a 15 sec long sample, press CTRL+E to save it. |

And still you failed to do this. Your samples varied from 14 seconds to 17 seconds. :whip:
In mp3DirectCut you just choose a start time, click "Set begin", then edit the length of the selection to (0'15.00) and you get a perfect 15 second sample. (For some reason it "rounds" the value to 0'15.02. :D) |

Progress Report: 12 samples done.
I don't remember it taking this long to make samples last time I did this.
I'm using the mp3 direct cut software. Then I open the sample in winamp and take off the file info and type in ID 01...but on some of the samples you can still see file info when I'm looking at the files in the explorer window. Which means I have to also clean up the file properties, I suspect. |

Just "find" Adobe Audition. ;) |

| ...and swap Winamp for Foobar. I don't remember when I used Winamp for the last time, but there is no need once you try Foobar. You can also use it just for deleting all info tags at one time. |

Yup, but I use Winamp for the library function. foobar2000 for everything else, being the god of cuesheets and all... |

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I have 40 samples made.
The hardest thing is figuring out what part of the track to sample. |
