Yohan - Many Facets of Yohan Vol.3
Originally I wasn't going to make a trance mix in this project, but I just can't pass up making a trance set. Because trance had so much influence in my musical outlook, and nothing else makes me dance like a proper trance tune does.
I've tried to capture the 'essence' of trance from 2004 in this set. In my opinion, the year 2004 for trance had more refined productions than earlier trance, but still kept a lot of original, raw emotional qualities of early years of trance.
In 2004, it was still ok for mainstream trance DJs to play not only the hands in the air, uplifting trance, but also mix in hard and/or tech trance, and play faster than 140bpm. I find it unfortunate that a lot of trance DJs play the same ish tunes, without much of variance in style.
So I tried to capture some of what I think of a typical 2004 set. From euphoric hands in the air trance to uplifting to hard(er) trance, I tried to put a little bit of each in this set. Cheers for listening.

This is the "Best Of" Fourtwentysessions Year-end Mix!
I never post up my monthly radio shows here, but I REALLY wanted everyone to have a chance to hear this mix!!!
Some of you already got the pre-released version over the weekend (which didn't have all the radio promo bits), and now here it is for the rest of you. Are you EXCITED??????????? I hope so! I managed to fit 30 tracks into 2 hours this time. I've never played so many tunes in that time before, so you'll see that my mixing is spot on and I really tell a good story so try and download the non-stop 2 hour download link and listen to it right through ;)
It's been a pretty good year for me really. I played with some amazing dj's, both local and International, but playing with Sied van Riel in February was probably my favorite. Also playing at Footwork in May was amazing too!
