I actually, have to say I havent had anything bad happen to me at WH. But thats because Massive and Matt are always taking care of business when I go and they make sure everything is WICKED smooth...GO MATT!!!!!!
I think roseland is where everyone should be going forward. I just love that place.
But, ill be happy to see ferry so i wont complain about any venue---until its over, then maybe. HAHHA :whip: |

+1!!! Webster has s at the door but Made and Massive are always on point. :) I trust these promoters when it comes to Webster, but when WH is handling on their own, its almost always a disaster. :rolleyes:

Good ques Wai. I'm putting aside my hatred of WH for this one, but I'll feel much more comfortable with a hard ticket in hand.
Also, shameless plug because she doesn't post here and seldom reads the boards...
2/28 is Lisa's birthday! So everyone make a point to wish her happy bday, be cheesy, and otherwise embarrass her publicly in a nice way :) |

Webster Hall entrance has changed. Before it was barely a problem to get in. Now, youre lucky if you make it in with all of your friends. I cant believe the amount of people these bouncers are rejecting at the door. I like the place though, its a whole lot better than Pacha any day, once youre inside. Maybe it depends on who is there? Didnt have as much of a problem when Tiesto came, and that was a bigger event. |

i've never been to WH before...so this is all very interesting to read...why do they turn people away? i'm sure as long as you have a ticket and a valid form of ID it wouldn't be a problem right? |

Imu, WH is pretty much unpredictable now when it comes to their bouncers. They turn people away for anything (if they dont feel your style or just you in general). The general line took longer to get in than usual. Seems like they only let 4 unpaid lucky people at a time. Thankfully I managed to get in without a problem, but I did see what people have been saying. Not sure why they do it though, the crowd is still the same as it has always been. Pretty much every type of person you can think of is present once youre inside Webster.
Now, I noticed that prepaid ticket holders is a whole different story. That line got into the club and didnt have as much problems with the bouncers.
Its not a big problem and shouldnt discourage you from going and checking it out, and I havent had to deal with it but only witnessed it. But to those who have, I can understand why they would be pissed to be rejected and asked to go to the end of the line after waiting 1/2 hour to get in. If you have an ID and a valid ticket, I dont see a reason why they should turn you away. But then again, its the New Webster Hall. |

^^ Sounds like the same bs I went through and I haven't been back since. I'll go for Ferry because Made Event will be running things and I doubt they'll tolerate that sort of nonsense. But other than that, never again. It's a damn shame too because I absolutely love Alex Pearce's music and I seldom if ever get to see him anymore because most of his events are there.
I'm not glad to hear that you or anyone you saw or were with had the same trouble, but at least someone else out there has seen what's happened at WH. |
