Lately I've been appreciating techno more and more. Any ideas where I might get some sets from Villalobos, Hawtin, Väth? Preferably live ones, already searched google.
Saw a really awesome one of Villalobos from Romania.

I'm up to my eyeballs in techno sets. But I'm too lazy to upload them right now.
Techno livesets aren't hard to find. Don't know why you had a problem finding any using Google. I googled "liveset hawtin" and found a bunch.
Also, check out www.livesets.com. Register to get access to the best stuff.
I got techno stuff off of TA. Dig around the regional TA subforms. A lot of them have liveset threads. Toronto/Ontario has a lot of stuff. TA search is worthless though. I use Google to search tranceaddict by typing in tranceaddict + a search term into the search field.
Hope this helps. |

I do the same, lol.
I recommend you go into the DJ Promotion forums and listen to some of the guys that play techno sets there (RJT, chesco, elFreak, Clovis, bas, Az come to mind right now). You will find some fabulous sets there, let me tell you. |

Thanks Oscar - the most meaningful praise I can get is when folks recommend me to others or pass along my material.
Anyway, links in sig, otherwise the entire promo archive is also available at http://arrjaytea.wordpress.com
And two techno sets that have been absolutely killing me the last few weeks are Asbrey's "Science Fiction" (available in the DJ promo forum - will get a link in a minute) and Funk D'Void Crazy @ Flex Vienna, which is available: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&highlight=Funk

I discover the techno songs I really like by searching for techno clubs in youtube. For example, I'll search 'Watergate' or 'Berghain' and click on a random video and then if the track sounds good live and I begin to like it, those are the ones I purchase.
that link you posted sounded more housey anyway.
Listen to the sets on this forum as someone said earlier, and buy Fabric CDs. They're some very good ones there. |
