Sounds like my kind of tribute mix. The kind that will undoubtedly introduce me to something new.

03. Peter Dildo - Womanizer (Original Mix) [Trackdown, 2006]
04. The Mountain People - Mountain 006.2 (Original Mix) [Mountain People, 2008]
05. Rozzo - I Wish I Was a Black Cat (Original Mix) [Trackdown, 2008]
06. The Mountain People - Mountain 004 (Original Mix) [Mountain People, 2007]
07. Sasse - Gravity (Peter Dildo Dirtymind Replay) [Playmate Music, 2008]
08. The Mountain People - Mountain 006.3 (Original Mix) [Mountain People, 2008]
09. Rozzo - Blue (Original Mix) [Trackdown, 2003]
10. Pop Out & Play - Share it with the Class (Rozzo Remix) [Holophon, 2004] w/ Chymera - Wish (Peter Dildo Rawjuice Reshape) [NRK Sound Division, 2008]
11. Rozzo - See the Way (Original Mix) [Plastic City, 1998]
12. Rozzo - Into Your Heart (Original Mix) [Bush, 1994]
13. One in a Billion - See the Light (Original Mix) [Ladomat 2000, 1995]
14. Peter Dildo - Take My Hand (Original Mix) [Trackdown, 2005]

So this is the first time I've ever tried my hand at putting a "tribute" mix together, so I'm a bit uncertain as to how well this will be received and if I was capable of finding the balance between old and new and create a coherent set of material from a single artists back catalog.

Obviously by now you know my choice has been André Schmid, better known as Rozzo, Mountain People, One in a Billion, and Peter Dildo. André has consistently produced some of the best records I've been fortunate enough to play the past few years, and has been doing so since the early nineties. Heavy influences from the worlds of French house and techno, as well as the ability to produce a very wide range of sounds, have kept at least a Rozzo tune or two in my bag as long as I've been playing house. My only hope is that the love I had going into doing this mix is apparent, and that it's a worthy tribute to a man who is the epitome of producing quality over quantity.

The first half is very, very deep, and the second is relatively melodic and banging - I have a feeling there may be a fair number of people who like either half but aren't sure of the whole thing, but my aim was to try and capture the diversity of the mans productions over the last 15 or so years, so I hope when all is said and done at least a few folks will think I've managed to succeed in my aim.

Enjoi.
