Do you all remember what I said a few years ago with the decline of my vinyl art of DJing? ... With CDJs, everbody's a fcuking DJ.
Now with $500 future shop laptops and ableton or whatever you guys are using... everybody's a fcuking producer. |

nothing bad about that. Then it shows who really wants it the most. Bad producers that were making money cant because new people with bright ideas are alot better. And forces people to bring out good or it wont be played. |

There is nothing good about it....the market is already flooded with crappy tracks that are produced quicker then hamburgers at McDonalds. Unfortunately, some of these crappy tracks have hit the mainstream market and have completely destroyed Electronic Music. Most of the electronic music produced today sounds like it was created by a two year old monkey on acid who has down syndrome. |

there are a bunch of gifted young producers coming up that just use computers to make tracks. Yes there will always be crapy tracks but some peoples minds think differently then others. Some people can figure out a computer like that. But they may not be able to figure out how to make music the old way.
So say someone has a crazy idea for a song that is totally different then anything out there but only knows how to use a computer to put their ideas down. If we didnt have the technology we have today we might not get to hear a genius at work. If you are mad at how easy the software is to use to make songs... just wait till they really get going on the software. Everyone and their mother will be creating. Embrace technology or be left behind. |
