i'm not a big vista fan, but nothing is really slow, except for booting.

Download a VMWare client and install it on a virtual machine. This is possibly the easiest way to do it, since you can just throw away the image afterwards. Never done it myself, but it shouldn't be too hard. |

Their servers were overloaded. They didn't anticipate such crazy demand for the beta.
Props to MS for actually releasing a public beta though. That's so unlike them. |

Look for an "Ace" install of windows 7 on the torrent sites. It requires no extra software to install. It is a self-contained file that will probably be around 20gb. |

| Alternatively, you can get VMware and then install Windows 7 in there. Your 3rd option is to run a dual boot system. Make sure to create a second partition for the new windows install though if you are going to do this. That way you separate the two installations and have no conflicts. |
