You can go to the M$ site and download now. Then install in a couple hours if you wish. |

The image is 2.5GB and on my 15Mbps FIOS connection it took me about 35 mins to DL from MS site - so I don't know what this jibba-jabba is all about. :D they are even nice enough to supply you with a DL manager that can pause and resume DL.
ElFreakazoid: If you got a spare drive, I'd recommend multi-booting - e.g. boot from install CD, point it to the "spare" drive and it should do the rest for you. You will then have a boot menu asking if you want to boot Vista or Win7. |

What brand? Does it use a software by a company called Phoenix Technologies? If so, download a thing called FWRecover. It allows you to burn the recovery disk. |

How much do you pay for your 15Mbps? That is pretty slow imho. My cable connection is 15Mbps. |

Oh even better actually. There is a program that is in the start menu so that you can create a recovery dvd.
It is part of the "Toshiba Extras" iirc. |

Just got my brand new MacBook Pro 2.53GHz 15", 4 GB RAM, 512MB nVidia laptop. Up and running dual-boot with Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard and Windows XP SP3.
Decided to go ahead and dive back into Mac-land...haven't had a "modern" mac since, like, OS 8. (Well, I have a G4 tower with OS X, but rarely use it's 450MHz ass.)
Now, I shall proceed to get decade-old Starcraft running on my fancy new piece of hardware. |
