doesn't look like a hot-headed, abusive cop |
lol how can u come to that conclusion? the guy comes off looking like a racist, redneck . I hope he fries.
let alone the tragedy for the family or the other guys pinned against the wall who saw this from inches away, but all the black people in the train?!! I don't think I'd have the balls to step out, but that was absolutely ridiculous. Shame on American police enforcement!!! :(
I'm still pissed off at the Vancouver airport police for the taser incident. ing lazy s, use ur fists the old fashioned way. |

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - A new court filing alleges that the 22-year-old man killed by a Bay Area transit officer had his hands behind his back and another officer was kneeling on his neck when he was shot.
The allegations were contained in an Oakland police officer's request Tuesday to issue an arrest warrant for Johannes Mehserle.
The 27-year-old Mehserle has been charged with murder in the New
Year's Day shooting of Oscar Grant.
The court filing said it appeared from cell phone video that "Mehserle shot and killed Oscar Grant while Grant was restrained and unarmed."
Mehserle was arrested in Nevada Tuesday evening and was returning to Oakland Wednesday. |

wow... hadn't seen that vid. disturbing. Wish you could see what happened after...
Looks to me like it was accidental... he looking like he was in serious shock after it happened. That being said.. that's one BIG ASS UP, and definitely warrants a severe punishment IMO. Not first degree murder, but that's def manslaughter.
As for him leaving the state, doubt he wasn't running.. he hadn't been charged with any yet. He was probably trying to get away from all the that's being happening in his home town. |

I just watched other video's from other angles. Looks like that whole situation was pretty out of control. people were approaching the cops from the side and challenging them... everyone yelling at them. maybe the one that pulled his gun and just doesn't cope with stressful situations well.. and well.. panicked.
who knows.. |

I hurts to watch that video each time. |
Agreed. Why did the guy get punched? They seemed to be cooperating physically and mouthing off does not give the cops the right to punch him.
So sad:( |

not all tasers apparently. grip, trigger, safety...
fahad, i don't know anything more than what i saw on the video and in that video, it doesn't look like he meant to shot the kid. it looks more like an unexperienced, overwhelmed cop who made a stupid mistake in the heat of a messy statement.
ps. reading more....the guys on the platform had been fighting on the subway, and harassing other riders, hence the initial arrest.. |

I was wondering the same thing
if he is new, he's supposed to be under a supervision of a more senior officer

| not that i condone this cop's actions, but it's a scary feeling when you're faced against a mob mentality |

Don't be abusive to the detainee, and the mob won't get mental... |
