Ehh, we will see but I doubt it. NYC has gone to in terms of parties man. |
my thoughts EXACTLY.
everytime someone tries to bring some successful "brand" over to NYC (with proven 'resident djs'), for some reason it never works out (Godskitchen/Pacha/Crobar/Ultra)
Not sure why that is...but ive totally stopped hoping.

Like it or not, those two ppl and Calderone are what pay the bills man. |
thats true, and well, thats just too damn bad. NOT my scene. but i guess that's what defines being profitable in New York. |

I know, and it's retarded, and it'll be the demise of the place eventually. I don't see why they can't get a big name resident......like what Mansion is doing here. I mean , Twilo had Sasha and Digweed. They should scrap Boris and JP, Calderone is ok. I think the damage has already been done though :nervous: |

The place has been open for over 15 yrs now. I doubt its going anywhere since the days of SF. :p JP packed 7000 ppl at Sound Factory everyweekend few years back. Thats $$$$$$ and prob the reason they never cared for any international talent coming in. Same story with Websterhall too. Tourists like to pay and go there. Works for WH. LOL. |

| So wait, is the club officially called Mansion still? IMO, they should just change the name to MOS NY. Mansion's a great venue, and a revamped outlook could do wonders, particularly if they were to adopt what looks like a Friday=progressive/trance, Sat=house/techno format: http://club.ministryofsound.com/club/djs/ |

From what I understood of that article was that MOS is starting a monthly event. Yes they now have a NYC office & in the article the venue was called Mezmor, which is the name of the building owners, but the article did not mention that MOS is taking over the venue. Although who knows since Mansion already filed for bankruptcy. |
