Bonaventure treats their elites well (if you're SPG), but it's a farther cab ride than the Sheraton on Hope Street.
Otherwise, the Standard is a good bet. |

May be old information:
$42.00 Flat fare for trips between LAX and downtown. Area bounded by Alameda St., Santa Monica Fwy., Harbor Fwy., Cesar E. Chavez, Union Station and Chinatown.
$2.50 Surcharge for all trips originating at LAX. |

Do yourself a favor and fly into Burbank. Mmight be like $20-$30 more but it is worth it. Closer to downtown, and a billion times less hectic. Plus, you can bus/cab it to the redline in NOHO which will take you all the way downtown. For cheap. |

Screw you all!! Take the FlyAway from LAX to Union Station downtown. $4 each way, no joke. Runs every 15-30 minutes til 8 or 9pm, then every hour after that. Then you can cab it from Union Station to the Mayan, which should be about $10-12 |

As someone who travels for a living, this is a damn good idea, but I would still put it as plan B. LAX suck! SUCKS! SSSSUUUUUCCCCKKKKSSSS!!!!
Landing at LAX takes sometimes near 45 minutes to taxi to you damn gate. Burbank it is land, slow, gate. That quick. PLUS, they let you out of the back of the plane as well as the front so that it is twice as fast PLUS the airport is so small you'll have your bags inside 15min of gear hitting the ground. LAX it has taken me upwards of THREE HOURS to get my bag and on a flyaway from touchdown. More than thrice it has taken me 4 TIMES LONGER to get home from LAX (to noho) than the length of my flight. Just FYI. Mid week prolly not an extreme case, but still not fun, especially if you hit rush hour, which is from 3pm until 8pm. |

| Dude I'm there fo sho! I was there last time in 06 and it was in' sick...Kazel and Digweed tore the roof off and I had the best time ever...and I was completely sober....not by choice but I was on antibiotics LOL |

Trust me, I would have if I could have. I'm mostly at the whim of my travel dept. I can whine to them as much as I want (and I do), but every now and then it is like a $500 diff to get me to/from some god-forsaken hole and my whines are over-ruled.
