I didn't know about Burbank airport.
Although Virgin America flys to LAX for $49 one way. Thats pretty damn cheap, plus I love them. I may look into the FlyAway route. |

| I think Jeremy should get his ass out here for this......I remember seeing him a few years back at the Mayan, probably the sickest dj experience I have ever had...we kept trying to leave because it was getting late, and each time he would drop an even sicker tracking, keeping us glued to the floor, unable to make it out the exit. was rediculously awesome. |

Mayan is one of those rare venues where getting in is no problem and where they don't hold the line to look cool. They have a lot of door staff, and I mean A LOT big mean looking guys and girls. They usually have a line for the will call and a line for GA. With will call, they have multiple stations set up on the sidewalk where they scan your Credit Card.
QUICK SEARCH
Once you get your ticket, you then go right in after a quick weapons search. Yup! You'll have to go through metal detectors but it's quick because they have multiple detectors. Hehehe
HIDDEN BATHROOMS/WOBBLY FLOOR
Once inside it's like Utopia! It's en fun! Just make sure you know where the hidden/clean bathrooms are and where the emergency exits are just in case you need to get out in a hurry after seeing/feeling the floor bend like a cheap stripper from all the jumping that's going on! hahaha
DJ VIEW
I really doubt you'll have a problem with the view of the DJ since they usally put the DJ up high in that mayan/jungle pyramid looking thing.
STRONG DRINKS
One more thing, did I mention drinks are EN STRONG!!! Yup! Be warned, you'll get drunk quick!
HOT DOGS, CHIPS, & TACOS
Food outside the Mayan is a hit and miss. However, this is probably the only hot dog stand in LA where you can bargain for your food. The guy will tell you to make him an offer he can't refuse and he usually won't. Hehehe I once told him I only had 50¢ and he sold me the hot dog for 50¢ and gave me free chips! Hahaha
There used to be an amazing taco stand just down the street outside the Grand Ave. But that's long gone now since the venue shut down.

I couldn't agree more man...this event will be legendary for me. The strong drinks and great music I had last time Digweed was at the Mayan contributed to my DUI that night. Can't believe it's been three years. Also just lost my job, so I was concerned I couldn't make it out because it was on a weekday, but not anymore! This will be a great comeback to the west coast EDM scene! |
