I would echo the sentiments shared - it's not immediately as good as Chromophobia, but I've only given the album a listen to once or twice thus far - will give it a few days before deciding on a final opinion.

I dont know if thats the point im making. Im talking about a review of an unreleased album by some forum patron, not music in general. Its fine that there is plenty of talk about an upcoming album releases or single releases, i've participated in that myself. And a single can be reviewed by anyone before its out because its not hard to find a sample of it or hear it out in the club.

Think about this, if all we had as reviews for upcoming albums is some kid on a forum saying "it kinda sucks." And thats all we have to go by for a month or two until the album actually releases, and for all we know its the best album coming this year...then I think it's unfair to the artist and label who put their time and effort into creating an album. Sure my argument is probably pointless because not many people read these forums outside a small chin stroking community out 500,000 that might eventually hear tracks from the album, but imo nothing wrong with respecting a dance music artists right to have his/her music judged by all when its actually out there to consume by anyone. So that a 2 sided dialogue can happen about the album instead of 1 person saying "it kinda sucks" without more people hearing it to give their opinion of it at that time. That said, I don't think good ethics can be forced on the internet.

But I agree with Kismet to an extent. Just consider the need to respect the artist. Nothing wrong with not liking the album, but say that once its come out, give it a chance to sell. If stories like yours started becoming common before the CD comes out, I'm sure it wouldn't sell as well. You'll get a lot of the "Meh I'll just download it, then" reactions. Obviously this is a message board and there's no one who can tell you you can't say these things, but a little discretion would be nice.
