And the releases announced so far only cover now until March - there's a lot more yet to be mentioned. |
I hear Involver 2 is coming up pretty soon |

| I really liked Chromophobia, so my expectations are high. Really looking forward to hear this one :) |

Cautiously optimistic about this... Feels like yesterday I heard Chromophobia. I wouldn't mind more vocals as his wife has an alright voice :p |

What's up with everyone going M83? Telefon Tel Aviv was a let down, now this.
Hats off to Gui for going in a different direction, but I think it's a road he should never travel again.
Some tracks as individuals are ok, but the album as a whole is just all over the place. |

So i'm listening to the promo, I guess its widely accessible now. Albeit at 192kbps the Promo has poor fidelity, highly compressed, and the highs seem to be chopped off a bit and the low end transients muddled up. Maybe that's how it was mastered? Promo isn't a good image of Gui's amazing sound at all. I A/B'd the Promo with his Chromophobia and its night and day difference in mix quality. Whoever ripped the Promo might have either messed with the EQ heavily, or this album was poorly mixed/mastered by whoever mixed/mastered it, im betting on the Promo copy just being bad.
I think listening to it in the quality Gui Boratto intended would be the only time I could give it a fair review...sound quality is important. So i'll wait for that.
ps: I enjoyed the tracks that he changed his style on, they are probably the best tracks on the album. |

Im liking this album more and more each day, few tracks that are on repeat are Azzurra, No Turning Back, Eggplant and Besides.
I understand it must be difficult to create another album that surpasses Chromophobia but this is not as dissapointing as some people make it out to be.
