Tiesto vs Armin the Copy Cat ?

Saw this on yooboob, I mean YouTube. Not sure if I'm posting this correctly, but here's the link. I can only guess this will generate some discussion/controversy, but the video is right on most accounts and I can think of a few other examples. Not so say AVB is a bad DJ, but I prefer Markus and Remy out of the Armada camp

It's more hilarious that Armin has gone and copied DJ Sammy.

what a load of bollocks haha

that first example is a joke it was hardly a copy but a 1second sample. That one with the headphone toss made laugh hard is it tiestos signature throw? can no one else do it? :haha:

It's not that anybody else could not do it, but it's eyebrow raising to say the least when it's two djs so closely compared or one djfollowing so closely in the foosteps of another. The headphones switcheroo part was hilarious and embarassing.

It's one thing for a local or regional dj to be inspired by tiesto or any other dj and copy some moves as he/she makes their own path, but it's quite another thing for a dj at that level to routinely copy ideas. I think that's what the video is trying to say.

"Originality is the art of concealing your source" - I don't remember where I picked that up at, but I always thought it was pretty clever.

trance is a perpetually self-referential genre. what do you expect?

Do they create the shows themselves or maybe share the same production company? The headphone toss was particularly funny mind.

ha, the "closing track" is an Oakenfold track (Rui Da Silva - Touch Me), in my opinion, and neither tiesto nor armin should be allowed to play it!

who am I kidding, let them play whatever, who cares?

Clever, but old news. :)

What is the tune playing over the "yet another day" vocal when Armin throws his headphones to the crowd? Damn, i used to have it on vinyl and now my mind has stuck!
