What are my options if I am flying into Fort Lauderdale Tues night around 11pm? I am staying in south beach, around 18th street. Will I have to get a cab or are there other options? And if I do have to get a cab how much should I expect it to cost? Thanks |
i'm looking at doing the shared ride shuttle for $21

we're staying at the miami beach resort and spa. are we better off riding the bus to get to downtown area for space/ultra or biting the bullet and taking the cab? i imagine the cab would be a lot quicker than taking the bus. we're doing space thursday night and would like to go back to the hotel and sleep a few winks before ultra. what do you think is the best way to go?
ps. your bus faq is awesome! everyone who's not sure about how they're going to get around needs to read it! |

| haha thanks. we'll probably take the bus down there and opt for a cab on the way back. i'd prefer to get back to the hotel and sleep maybe 3 hours before ultra rather than be wasting time on a bus! |

48th and collins. dude you're going to have no problems getting to where you wanna go with the bus. only problem might be if you leave the club around 3,4,5 am-ish. but that usually doesnt happen often during conference, so im sure you can afford a cab ride if all the other times you just catch the bus.
regarding the space --> hotel --> ultra question. if you value your sleep A LOT then it might be easier to catch a cab as you may lose about about 45 minutes on the bus ride back to the hotel. but then again, a cab ride is gonna take atleast 20 mins too. cab from south beach to downtown is about $20. id say from 48th and collins to downtown might be $30-40. just comes down to whatever you're feeling at the moment.
def take a bus on your way there though. and when you get out, if you dont wanna deal with the hassle of waiting for the bus and everything then just catch a cab back. one time cab ride isnt going to kill your bank account. |
