O M GOSH Im so sad I couldnt make this. no really. you have no idea- wait- most of you do because you called/text me all night- which was sweet but just made me want to jump OUT OF MY SKIN all night!! hahah It was my girls bday and we went to a comedy club..yeah....they thought I could sit and drink and listen to people try to be funny. Needless to say I ended up at the bar all night....
ANYWHO...omgosh it sounds like everyone had a super fab time and great sets!! the tracklists are siiick I hope there was some recording going on here boys!!!!!
And the chick at the door...really? wtf!! Im sorry you had to deal with that that is BS!! im sure someone will say something .
I do have to agree on Love's sketch factor but its kind of why i love it. hahahah The shows ive been to are insane and honestly I can not LIVE with out seeing my NY peeps at least once a month and LOVE has made that possible for me- while listening to the likes of S&T, Randy, Mike, Marcello...ect I mean, jesus, we WON THIS GAME!! hahah
And the hammering trannies....i dont have words, but that definitely sounds like something that would happen to me. so ill appologize- you had to deal with that because the universe was ready to throw that incident at me im sure- and since I wasnt there....you had to witness it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA im happy that nothing happed to you guys though, i started reading that and realized all my muscles were clentching in anticipation that you were going to say something bad happened to you guys...WHEW!!
Ive promised myself i will not miss any other shows. ever again EVER!! |

Wow, sorry to hear that happened to you Wai =/. As for that b*tch at the door handling online tickets, is she a new employee @ LOVE? cuz i do not recall ever seeing any girl handling that...it was just the guys at coat check with the lists. ugh cuz i sooo haate on door ppl who ruin my night. god knows ive dealt with that too often. i really HOPE i dont run into her. :whip: all i know is that there was absolutely NO problems whatsoever during Stoneface and Terminal so i was surprised to hear what happened this week :(
ehh LOVE...i pretty much accept the venue for what it is. Its **underground** and unpretentious (the complete opposite of table/bottle service clubs, PACHA and Mansion/soon-to-be MOS. Man i sure miss the Roxy and other places where you could just be urself :(), and its near the West Village, ffs! Haha the type of place it is, of course its going to be filled with NYU kids and artsy and different types -- rather im surprised it took this long for the place to be discovered, given the type of demographics and location. I guess we will just have to deal with it...
actually its nice to see that more ppl are willing to come and experience different sounds/music/djs...and the more ppl that come to these parties, the more likely that dj/producers will be convinced to come back, as opposed to a poor showing.
wow looked and sounded like a great night!! i def missed out. LOVED that MADE OF LOVE remix that was thrown down....Drew had a vid of it and he showed it to me, w00t! :tongue2 |

Lyss: I have never seen that girl the entire time I have been going to love. I think she is a new employee which is even crazier to me since you would think she would try to impress. regardless, this is an underground club and the attitude should be reflected as such. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
as for the booth guy, WHY do you have an employee that is allowed to be faked out of his brain on drugs??? I can understand the bartenders being drunk or whatever, but why is your dude rolling his face off in the booth? not ok imo.

I wanted to be there as well and had the same dilemma. It was my friends 40th which is a big one so I def couldnt miss that. She planned a huge party at the Radison and I RSVP'ed before this party was even announced.
Sorry to hear u had a rough time Wai..call the manager if there is one, also make a formal complaint to the owner. If that doesn't work...wait for her on the corner after she clocks out for the nite :p |

You know this reminds me of the other weekend- we were stuck waiting to get in and check our coats and I remember staring at a big sign right where they do tickets:
"If you have issues or complaints please call:"
and it had all the info. really big sign next time one of us is there we need to get you that info! I doubt the other people working there would be happy to hear this- as I honestly have yet to meet someone there that is anything but nice....so i bet theyll do something |

My night was not ruined it takes a lot to truly piss me off. happens. Going to Love you just have to understand you will be surrounded by either crackies or douches. Having my money stolen last time bothered me more. Also our transvestite "friends" were funny I knew they wouldn't do anything to us except provide quality entertainment.
We should focus on the party which was really good. Massive does a great job with bookings and throwing parties. I have never had a bad time at a Massive event. Great job again to all the DJs. If he has it I hope Casey puts up a tl for his set.
Kelly - We should make break dancing in small spaces illegal. |

+1 on everything she said^^^. Def not a night-ruiner, but imo there should not be people on serious drugs and/or with serious attitude if you want your bizniz to keep on poppin!!
wai: omg this is the reason I hate glowstickers and breakdancers. ugh. it was like the circle at shelter for Tyas:whip: I wonder why the glowstickers cant just keep them in their hands as opposed to flinging them around on string near 300 other people?? no common sense?? |
