If you were given a venue...

...well that's basically what has happened to my friend and I. We have been running a sound and dj company for 11 years, and now have been given a venue to use for weekly events. We will be booking more dj's in the coming weeks and months, but are our own residents for the time being. Doc Martin, Jason Blakemore, Josh Allen, Nicholas Bennison & Marques Wyatt will most likely be first on our list because we have booked and done events with them in the past.
We are providing all the sound, lighting and dj's for the venue; and all the nighty decisions are ours...thus we're open to suggestions. As a lurker of these forums for about six years, I realize I may be opening myself up to some unpleasant responses, but for those who wish to help - I thank you.
So far we've had some great nights, and some dead nights. The main problem has been the under 21 guys..which seem to just be obsessed with pointless fighting and take everything WAY to personally. The venue has a lot to offer, we mostly just need massive promotion, of which we are slowly figuring out. As of right now here's how it's breaking down:
3-Sixty Lounge [wednesday-saturday]
*Orange County's ONLY hookah lounge with a full bar
*Ladies FREE every night
*Parking FREE every night
*Live DJ's every night
*Dance floor / big sound / video projections / lasers
*Food menu all night
*18+ for ladies, free // 21+ for guys, $5
*Heated & furnished outdoor patio
Thoughts? Honestly we want to make this a user friendly venue. After all I'm just one of you all who's been doing this for a while, but now has a venue at his disposal. I'm not about promoters and greediness, my friend Jay and I just want to make it work for all of us and provide a chill place for ta's and edm fans to hang out. We set up and spun at the biggest room at the OC Hilton NYE party in front of 3000 people, and were on KUCI [small station, but still cool] a couple weeks ago playing on the radio. So it's been an exciting few months, and we want to take it even further.
Perhaps some tranceaddict promo nights or something should be in the works. I'm sure some peeps on here would like to spin too. We have a venue, let's make it work! ;)

Of course we would love to have you come play Josh. I understand you and Jason were communicating today, so hopefully we can get everything set up for a March event. This is such a good opportunity in front of us. :) |

If you're ever pressed to find DJs, there are definitely quite a few on here.
I'm willing to play, and I know of a few other TA DJs who'd be willing to play too. Just keep me in mind I guess! :) My website is here: www.awesometownradio.com/jonmitz , just so you can see that I do know what I'm doing. |

Andrew, congrats on your new venue! :)
My partner and I have just started a production, and we're willing to make some deals if you'd like to :D We have only a few events in the past, but our biggest one just came around last November with a little below 1,000 people came to our party. Check out the website
http://www.indopartyla.com
Our crowd is half hip-hop and half EDM, and basically we've been doing a monthly event where we can get around 100-200 in Hollywood. If you like, we could work out a deal and bring some of our crowd and get them exposed to your venue, since some of them do live in the OC area. On the brighter side, we have a few resident DJs (including myself) that we could also bring for you, from minimalist, electro/prog house, psy-trance, all the way to trance. This is definitely a win-win situation for us :D

what an awesome opportunity.
18+ is a drag.
stay away from trance and adopt a 'spoil your customer' mentality.
good luck.:) |

| 18+ for girls only is the new trend to start getting girls in clubs so i dont really blame them. |
