Xone 92 vs. DJM 800 vs. Ecler Evo 4 (pg. 2)

The EVO4 is a kickass mixer! Lots of fun to use...especially with DUAL FX banks, which no other mixer has!

As for the price, yes, $1450 is the MAP price, but most dealers sell for less ;)

Why is it stupid ? The Xone is, to me, more of a studio mixer than a DJ mixer like the DJM. I guess you were looking for a specific way to hook up, for exemple, an EFX with the Xone without using another channel ? Yes, the Xone is more "complicated" for the send/returns features, but I find this way to be much better than the DJM way. Anyway, I've always been a studio console guy.

For the record, I own a Xone92 and owned an EFX1000 in the past.

Mixers might not have it, but Traktor Scratch Pro lets me do all kind of a crazy combinations.. In essence, I could kick off 6 effects at the same time, where's that crazy eyes smiley face gone haha..

I know what you mean though.

Ecler's styling imo is the nicest out of all of the mixers. (I own a 92)

I can't find it anywhere under $1450. Any recommendations? Agi has it for $1450 and they're usually the lowest.

look for used ? Used isn't bad at all ... if the guy respects his equipment, you can save hundreds for a like new. And if it's for playing in your bedroom and at some parties, it's worth it to get a used one.

Theres a guy on djforums selling his evo4 for $1150. In california, but willing to ship.

Yes, i also think its more studio mixer than regular djm mixer.
And yes, exakly, and easy function to hook up the efx signal to master output without having to route it through the mixer!

For 92:
You got two "easiest" options that im aware of, that is
one: returning the efx signal to mic fader, and be gentle when fade up that fader simulteanasly as you fade down the original channel.
two: you route the efx signal through a spare channel and could use the crossfader for smoothest "dry to wet controll", sounds decent without different sound changes, but you always must remember to have the same eq tweaks on both channels.
And i dont understand how u do if you want to efx two channels at the same time.

That is not OK for beeing 92/62 at that price range.
I think djm solution is good, not complicated at all.

Otherwise i really love the 92.. so wonderful sound if you wanna go analogue..
And sorry for my bad english!

That's what I was doing but I wasn't using the crossfader as dry/wet. It was more of an on/off switch. I was switching very fast from one end to another, so I could still use the dry/wet button on the EFX, which is more convenient.

Also, note that there's a 1ms lag between the send and the receive. I've done multiple testing, and when the EFX is not set at ByPass, if you put your crossfader of 92 to the middle, you will have an echo in your sound, which is caused by a 1ms delay from your original sound to your efx output. This is why I used the ON/OFF thing as crossfader.

I don't understand what you mean by using the EFX two channels at the same time. Do you mean sending 2 channels to the EFX ? If so it's very easy, just turn the AUX SEND knob on the second channel, as you did for the first ... it will send both signals to the EFX and it will return in 1 channel. You cannot return the EFX on 2 separate channels, it has only 1 output, unless you split it, but this is useless. If you wanna use multiple sources, play with the AUX SEND knobs, this is the correct way on a studio mixer ;)

Hope this helps ;)

$1450 is the MAP (Minumum Advertised Price). Retailers HAVE to show this on their websites and/or in advertisements. If you e-mail them, they will give you a lower price ;)

Your English is better than a lot of the members on here. I wouldn't worry about it :)

Never used the wet and dry on the crossfader.. must try it.
