I know AEMF is no more, but it's cool Slow Motion is doing alternatives and I know Night Culture are having a week of alternatives as well. It's going to be a week of Electronic Music lovers HEAVEN! I'm really excited about it actually, it's going to be like WMC! haha :)
PS, as for the SXSW shows.. you CAN get in without a badge but the Badge people have presidence.. and so like last year, I tried to see Junkie XL and Moby and they wouldn't let me in because all the badge peeps filled the venue way before I got there :( |

I've never even attempted going to a SXSW show since I know its next to impossible to get in with out a badge. After having those two past AEMF alternatives it was amazing since to have the option to see so many headliners in one week since everyone was in the general area. Here's to hoping we have some massive after parties sponsored by Slow Motion and perhaps giving them bigger time slots to put on a proper set besides the 1 hour SXSW seems to be giving the DJs. |

| EXACTLY. We couldn't agree more. Do IT PROPER, or don't do it at all. SXSW should consult the local promoters before they go doing they have no clue about. |

I was a bit bothered by the last Meltdown in Dallas giving headliners everywhere else 1 hour. Zabiela himself was unhappy with the hour and felt it wasn't his best set. Even an extra hour and he could have torn the place down. I'm glad all these events happen and I couldnt be more thankful, but I mean the promoters and event organizers know what needs to be done as far as getting it done proper. But I understand its a business and since I'm broke and busy with other stuff I can only complain from the sidelines. Maybe one day I'll try to participate more in organizing some stuff. |

Good luck getting into Speakeasy Cab without "your papers" (in my best German accent). The place is small and only for SX Reich party members... ooops, I mean badge holders. I have not been there, but I've been told its not very conducive to the electronic dance experience....
I wish the Reich would let the professionals handle the DJ/Electronic acts... Putting Infusion (Live)at Prague is asinine. SMM had them at Element with James Zabiela in 2004... (no special badge was required, just $10 bucks).
