| Zabiela blew up. Lance was one of the first to book him at Barcelona back in 2003 or 4. I got to open for him and play on the DJM800 before it was even an official product, man that kid has some cool toys. Great guy, soft spoken but at this point he commands some serious dinero. Its sad because promoters and djs don't like to take into account market size, its like $5k or $10 or $15k for these guys no matter where they play. If the club holds 300 people, how can I pay him $15k to play especially in a town where the bar next do it is $1 beers and sorority face dances for a shot of Jager. Oh Austin, I love you and I hate you with all my heart. Its getting to be where you book 5 shows across a bunch of cities which lowers your cost as a whole and make up for your bad dates with the good ones. It cuts the one off promoters out but makes the agents life easier. I know a company that does something like that, I think they are called TicketMaster or is it Live Nation or maybe its LiveTicketNationMaster. That's where the true heart and soul comes in. I have an idea, let's book at Top 10 djs, maybe TiestoMinVanDykeweedBeyond, I heard those guys are awesome. Bitter, Blargity blarg blarg. |

The 2004 show really hurt me on the inside because I wasn't able to go to barcelona because I wasn't 21 yet. The first time I saw him was when he was doing the One + One tour. I've seen him a couple more times in Poland and again in Dallas at Meltdown. I think I could see him anywhere. I'm just glad we have guys like you and lance and other promoters that are willing to take financial risks for the love of the genre. It is much appreciated. |

MAN! you missed out. His solo shows are SO much better than his one+one tour with Nic Fanciulli.... I dunno, it's like he can't show off too much and put Nic to shame or something, so he plays all boring. Only way I can explain it. |
