Just wondering if any of you guys that have produced podcasts can give me any information on how to get started. I'd like to do a podcast containing artwork and track names (ie: dance department) but have no clue where to start, any info would be useful, cheers. |

anyone know the easiest way to convert an mp3 to an RSS? |

You don't really "convert" an MP3 into an RSS.
A podcast is just an XML file (this is the RSS) which is a file that points to your audio and has in it the details of your podcast (including links to images etc).
If you have your own webhosting already I suggest you get loudblog.
Iv never gone down the completely free road but google should help find you some free podcast hosts or something. |

Also, if you want to create podcast with the track markers, track names and track art (like dance departments podcasts), you have to create an "enhanced podcast".
This will be an AAC file, not an MP3 (.m4a). If you are a Mac user, you can create these in Garageband.
If you stick to MP3 you'll be limited to a single image specified in the XML file. |

Ryan, Tiesto's Club Life Podcasts are .m4a? |

I have no idea, in iTunes right click on one and do "get info".

I think that pretty much all iTunes podcasts are .m4a but I could be wrong though. |

Nope. You are wrong :)
I have one on iTunes, and I've posted some mixes as MP3 and some as M4A. Making an enhanced podcast takes time.

Oh, OK then ;)
How do you make an enhanced podcast? Is there some special software you use? |

As I said above, you can do it in garageband.

Sorry I guess my post was misleading. I was saying that it IS a .m4a and thus your post above mine was incorrect. Enhanced Podcasts can be .m4a (like Club Life). |
