Yeah you should tell Tiesto that too a boring track is still a boring track so your not stating anything other than your opinion here. I am sure there are plenty of PVD fans to back him up and plenty of Tiesto fans to back him. So this could go on forever. |

It's all personal opinion because they really do have different track selection. Tiesto is King and probably always will be as far as what he has done for trance and dance music in general worldwide*. Performance wise, though, I'd say PVD has passed Tiesto by at this moment in time (take that roomies!! haha). But again, I suppose it boils down to personal preference. , I have fun at both of their parties:crazy:
*You could probably put Oakey up at the top of the all time list too, but I doubt anyone would argue that he is the best right now. On another hand, Armin sits at the top as far as a lot of people are concerned. So personal opinion will always vary.
wow, i am bored |

| they can both be awesome and they can both suck. what i hate is that you never know what you're gonna get when you see either of them. if they just dont care that night, you're gonna notice. and that happens way too often. although, i think it happens more with tijs than paul. but either one of them on a really good night... wow. those are the nights that you cant even explain. thank god ive had some of those from both. those nights are harder to come by as the years pass. you just gotta be lucky. |

I couldn't agree more. Sometimes they suck, Sometimes the rip it. Thats why I like Ferry better, I think he is more consistent and I know u probably don't agree with me on that one.
Ferry never disappoints me even if he wastes an hour of his set playing his productions :stongue:
The past 4 times I've seen PVD has been a disappointment  :( Tiesto's been amazing the last two years I've seen him here in NY, I think he got over the # 1 Dj's syndrome
:happy2: :stongue:
the bottom line is all these guys are talented and when they wanna bring it they do it in a proper way.     |

hmmmm... you might be misunderstanding me. i mean those really special nights. not 'oh i had a good time, whatever' kinda nights.
my examples:
tiesto - impulz, holland june 2002 (3 hour massive set in the blackhole tent at impulz, like 20000 people in that tent. some crazy like that. you can download the entire set)
paul van dyk - love from above, berlin july 2002 (6.5 hour massssssive set, 2 hours are actually an essential mix that you can download. nu-nrg played live that night, totally sick)
paul van dyk - club eau, holland june 2002 (again, massive 3 hour set from paul, it was crazy seeing him play a club in holland like that)
paul van dyk - space wmc 2003 (again massive 6.5 hour set where paul just went nuts!)
paul van dyk - space novemeber 2005 (wow. the entire night was ID ID ID ID ID until the last 30 mins. best pvd set ive EVER heard. he banged it out soooooooo hard)
those are the kinda nights im talking about. |

the one thing i always regret is not being at pvd mayday 2002 as i could of made it. i would of had to go straight from the airport to the festival, but i didnt. :(
if ever there was a set to make up missing the mayday show, it was def that november 2005 set. |
