awesome thread, turned into no tiesto to a thread about pvd
Anyhow, i will get my 2 cents in.
PVD is better in my opinion, whether it comes to his studio work or club appearances, pvd knocks my socks off in comparison to tiesto.
Heres the big difference, tiestos marketing team has done a damned good job making tiesto famous. Tiesto can sell out any venue where as pvd can not.
Someone responded to this thread and said Tiesto probably got more money to play somewhere other than miami. You could not be more right, that is exactly what happened. Now for me, I would much rather see someone who cares about the EDM they play then how much money they will be making.
Example, PVD has been offered more money by other venues to play somewhere besides space, but because paul loves space he does not take the bait.
Mark my words, Tiesto will end up just like oakenfold, eventually washed up from his own popularity. And oh yeh, for you die hard tiesto fans, he doesnt make his own music so :-P |

By all means I am not Tiesto hater or PVD wagon rider but the times I have seen Tiesto he looked bored out of his mind wtf is up with that....?
The times I have seen PVD @ Space he has been jumping in the air honking the horn like a mad man :D |

seee, ive only seen Paul 2-3 times when he even showed any emotion at all.....first time i saw him he looked disinterested.....and that was a turn off to me...... |

You are correct, pvd does have his off days as well. If you have not planned on coming to pvd @ space for WMC and have not in the past, I truely urge you to. Its a guaranteed good performance IMO
I realize tiesto is playing friday @ ultra but if you get a before 2am ticket to space you can walk from ultra to space and get in pretty easy |

ive seen em both sometimes jumping all around and sometimes just there not doing much.
like i already said. sometimes they care, sometimes they dont. it happens when you travel all over the world nonstop and have to play a million clubs. i wouldnt be able to do it. thats for sure. |

ive seen PVD at Space...and Tiesto at Space...LOL......good times always for sure

Last year I walked straight from Ultra to Space for PVD and I smelled delicious!! haha. granted, I was only at Ultra for maybe an hour, did no dancing, and showered beforehand:tongue2
now, after pvd.... that might have been a different story:( |

Paul at Amnesia is the greatest experience ever, hands down. Best set I've ever heard was still from him in 2006 when it was supposed to be PVD and Marco V and for some reason (I don't care, thank god!!) Marco no-showed and PVD played 5 hrs, including an hour of classics! Greatest night ever!!!
I will be at PVD at Space and am very very very excited too :) |
