We will be open till one am tonight and are making arragements for Saturday night.

all the good places in this town die out one by one...cherry is one of the last sick places this city has left, close cherry and this town is dead in my opinion... after stereo closed i rarely go out, and when i do its only to cherry. Hopefully i wont have to stay home and the place will stay open, SIGN THE PETITION PEOPLE!

theyre not closing 100%, but i think its heading taht way.
this is why were signing the petition, to keep it open.
I heard that there were more than 200 complaints filed against cherry with the SPVM.
Its a great place, but the worst possible location, the crowd around the club is nothing but happy with it being there. Its the old port, supposed to be calm and peaceful, people pay a lot of money to live there, and every weekend at 3-4am they heard people screaming and yelling, breaking.
As respectful as people try to be, theyre still drunk, and dont really think that other people are trying to sleep, and i dont blame them.
Just wrong mix of crowds imo.
Hopefully and agreement is reached and cherrys clientele realises that they should be more calm and respectful if they want cherry to be stay open. |

| It's a good thing I read this, as otherwise I might have gone on believing that a recently opened establishment that battles for a similar clientele might have had a hand behind it. |

i see you don't really know the history of old montreal.
Old montreal used to be abandoned 15 or so years ago, no one lived there, or barely, seriously.
Govts put a lot of money to revitalize it, clean it up to attract businesses and people.
Can you honestly revitalize a central part of the city to make it alive but at the same moment expect it to be tame like any suburb or the country? nah.
Its centrally located in montreal, those who live there should expect inconvenients.
This is not the first time a bar in old montreal gets because of newly moved in residents are annoyed by the hustle and bustle bars generate. |
