She deserved all that besides those two blows to the dome while she was down, that was not necessary. It was probably to shut her ass up. If you lay one finger on a cop they got the right to take you down by any means necessary. Who knows the shoe probably nailed him in the dick.

That was not a beating, that was 2 punches. Pinning her to the ground is a standard procedure in that situation as they cuffed her.
Still, that was 2 punches too much but by your reactions I was expecting him to beat her for several minutes. |

Absolutely ridiculous.
At that point, the girl would have already been patted down for any type of weapons and it looks pretty clear to me that she was asked to remove her shoes by the officer. She kicks one off and then goes to kick the other off. She's got her arms crossed in front of her for Christ's sake. The type of force that officer used would only be warranted if she attacked him physically or presented a weapon. If you are going to tell me that shoes can be considered as a weapon, then change your procedure and take the shoes earlier when you do your pat down.
The reason why that officer comes back in is because he's praying that a knife magically appeared in that cell somewhere because, without one, his little rampage is going to cause him an awful lot of grief. |

I already agreed that the officer was totally out of line and shouldn't have touched her. But that doesn't mean that she didn't probably deserve it.
Maybe she didn't, but from what it seems like, the brat was pulling some serious attitude. She was probably one of those bratty teenagers who thinks the world owes her something and has the right to act like a disturber, driving around illegally and giving cops a hard time.
She probably pulls that with her parents all the time...
I don't think violence is the answer to anything. I have said many times that I disagree with violence, but there are situations when people deserve a punch in the head for being a total -wit because otherwise, they just simply don't get it.
Deserve and should are 2 different things. |

She committed an assault by flipping the shoe at Schene (and battery if she actually hit him), but obviously the response was an overreaction.
HOWEVER, it does appear that she was one of those mouthy little cvnts, and I guarantee that she will never mouth off to a cop again. :p |

Hopefully, this girl will never have to work a day in her life.
People probably deserve lots of things. But it's not a police officer's job to deal out punishment as he sees fit any more than it is your and my responsibility, which is to say not at all.
I am sort of curious as to why people see justification in people "getting what they deserve". Why do you believe that one action warrants another, more extreme reaction? I can understand the schadenfreude involved, but to honestly believe that because the girl "deserved [something]", an authority figure is correct in meeting said justice and then some? What purpose is served by this? What good could come of it? What evil has been thwarted? This is more unnecessary violence met upon people by government - but so long as the cops are there to keep us all safe and sound from teenagers and their offensive attitudes, I guess it's all ok. ing think.
This is the same ing argument as when that bro got tazed. People are unsettlingly eager to apply justification to violence when it refurnishes their indoctrinated sensibilities of peace, order and control - but these are all illusory. Though I suppose if the whole of humanity has indicated anything, it's that we contantly and willing submit to any illusion, so long as it's played up to be a deity of sorts. |
