@zejay - that mix wasn't really dub techno, except for king in my empire, which is a really good selection. what you have played is mostly 'dubstep', breakbeat oriented music which has more to do with the jungle than with techno. admittedly the distinctions can be blurred, but generally you can think of dubstep as jungle with dub techniques applied to it, and dub techno as techno with dub techniques applied to it.
also, too short!

it's good to hear a bit of feedback. i took the advice from that other thread about dub techno and i'm really quite puzzled about the distinction.
It's so difficult to try and distinguish sometimes. I took a lot of the inspiration from this from your mixes taht you posted me a link to. The Audion track was personally chosen from your mix. I would love you to point me to a singular track where you could say "THIS IS DUB TECHNO".
I'm a massive fan of Bare Files, a dubstep mix website and i would say i'm relatively familiar with a lot of the dubstep artists but I chose most of these tracks with the mindset. "this isn't what i've heard before and it has a more 4/4 beat so it must be Dub techno".
Would still love people to check out the mix as I worked my off on it and I really appreciate the advice from your thread.
Cheers again.

Like I said, that rhythm & sound track "king in my empire" is pretty much the definition of dub techno.
anything on their burial mix/rhythm & sound labels is, really
there's a lot of crossover so I don't want to give you the wrong impression that there is some holy grail of dub techno. it's sufficient to say that a lot of the tracks in the mix you did have their roots in jungle, as dubstep, rather than in techno. it really doesn't matter, because it's a good mix either way, but since you're new to it I thought maybe I should point it out.

I haven't, I'm just not sure if I'm going to use the one I already recorded or record a new one either today or tomorrow :D

I still plan on doing mine (dubstep). I've been putting together my tracklist, but I haven't had a chance to record it yet. I've had a few family emergencies to deal with.
