Yea unfortunately I only caught on recently so I'm not too sure I'd do as good a job as I'd like to (considering I rather not use any of my money again if creating a second mix). |

I'm on it, already. I've just been a little busy that's why it hasn't been put out there yet. |

Since Andryuha has pulled out of the Acid House mix, I'll offer to put together a little set. |

I can also take over couch-potato's if he's not doing it it. |
I'm not so sure how I feel about this. Of course it's great to have the mixes done anyway and in this spirit I'd say bring it on, guys!
But there's a more fundamental problem here: the question about what to do when people drop out. Replacing them with someone who wants to do the mix instead has two problems. It won't be possible in every case and it sort of defeats the purpose of this thing. So again, do your mixes, I'm sure people will be happy to hear them. But for further editions of this we need to have a clear rule about dropping out. Let me hear your ideas...

Anyway meat I was also wondering.......will there be some kind of conclusive element to this "competition"? I really think we sould post in other TA boards and advise other TA users to check our mixes out and to comment on them if they like. |
Feel free to advertise as much as you want. I don't know what kind of conclusive element you mean exactly, but if you (or other) have any good ideas they'll certainly be appreciated. :) |

While I realize that the whole point of this concept is to make people do mixes of stuff they would normally never do, I don't think there is a lot that can be done about this issue. If people end up with a genre they absolutely despise, they obviously aren't gonna feel like making a mix of it. It is an inevitable result.
What you could do is ask people to name the genres first and then ask for entrants, explicitly stating that if the genres in the bag aren't to your tastes, don't enter. |

People put in an amount of genres as defined by the OP, then when all genres are in, all the people who want to get in on the draw say so. That way, people who hate the genres listed will hopefully be reasonable enough to not enter so that half of the whole concept doesn't flop. |

Currently the accepted genres define what DJs are in. So it's not really possible to say what genres you can get before the list of DJs is complete. The principle behind this was that you can only add a genre when you commit to participating, and I don't think that should be abandoned.
Maybe I can just announce a dealine for entries next time, so people can enter late and see what might await them. But the easiest way is that they should simply stop being a and deal with it! ;) |

+1, Picking an choosing genres defeats the whole purpose of the concept. It's about being challenged and people should just grow some and "deal with it". |
