not even porn.
hubby's monthly sales have dropped. 2007 he was averaging about 500k in sales a month. In the beginning of 2008 he was averaging 400-430k a month in sales then it started dropping to 400k by the end of the year. Past 2 months he's barely made over 300k but he was so busy he didnt focus on selling. Still he wouldnt have made 400k these past 2 months. PLUS they are on a hiring freeze and cutting hours(trying not to cut jobs).
hows that? |

Really sorry to hear that. I guess the bright side is you can put more energy into promo and hopefully make enough doing that. |
How I just wish this promo thing can replace what I make as a marketing manager. |

Bankruptcy law is thru the roof.
I'm in commercial finance and we're one of the few companies staying afloat. We're in the middle of a hiring freeze, but we're working and working hard.
It's gonna get worse before it gets better. Don't expect to see any leveling off until the 4th quarter at the earliest. |

sucks man! sounds like a ton of newspapers are getting ready to bite the dust. |
Man! You should've seen the eye popping statistics the President showed us today. He showed us a list of the top 35 newspapers in the Us and how they're doing. ALL and I mean ALL are loosing money. There's a few that are filing chapter 11 and some that are about to just go out of business completely. :(
We're lucky to be still making money. But we're drowning too. |

Government jobs are supposedly on the rise. I got an email the other day with about 10 court openings. Check out http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/
Sad what is going in. My lil brother is pissed @ Obama for spending money on paying for people's mortgages while teachers are getting laid off left and right. |

based on research...in down economies...there are actually two industries that do well...
ALCOHOL SALES and SKIN CARE products! And they actually go up!
As for stable, thats easy...brands that are in the STAPLE category tend do not be affected...that usually means RICE, BREAD, DEODORANT/ANTIPERSPIRANT, UNDERWEAR, etc. |

| The company I work for has been growing rapidly over the past year, with a growth rate of 20%+ a month... and we're on a hiring spree, increasing our staff by 30% the past few months |
