True. Pet owners may cook up their cats and dogs for dinner.

 actually people are opting to put their pets to sleep. Had one lady run in sign the paper hand the dog and a pile of cash to put her dog down. The dog was completely fine. Just over weight and had pain in the back or hips. She could not afford treatment. So sad :(

Yeah, that is sad. I bet some dog cuisine lover somewhere would be really pissed to hear this.

Entertainment is OK, not doing great but still ok.

I concur...

As much as I would like to hate myself for working for BP, I simply cant overlook the fact that I'm getting serious cash for the work I do. As long as a pipe dont open up and create a fire, I'm pretty much a happy camper!

While this might not be the best idea, I think they should allow for off-shore drilling in CA. The state will make alot of money.

i was volunteering to set up for the carl cox massive on friday afternoon and started chatting it up with other volunteers in the catered food room. turns out i was sitting in a room full of unemployed people, 10 of us. surprisingly the only two sectors growing in the economy are health care and hospitality. when you read a statistic like 10% unemployment, realistically you're dealing with 20% of the population without a full time job. that's 1 in 5 people in la!

This. Legalize and tax it. This would bring in so much tax money. The industry has even gone on TV saying they have been trying to pay taxes on their sales!!!!
