And it's a home game. Who wants to join me? As of now I'm going by myself, but I know there's a few Devils fans in here. Anyone want to join? We can either do Ebay or the Devils ticket exchange, just wanna know by tomorrow night who's down to see some history made!!

Don't worry, the Devils will win the Cup this year, and Brodeur will break Roy's stats on number of Cup wins too ;) Brodeur's also an inch away from taking the shutout record. His overall domination of every aspect of the game shows which one's better. Not to mention, his personality and attitude toward the game and the respect of everyone from every team toward Brodeur (and lack thereof of Roy), put him a cut above Patrick. |

no doubt marty will retire as one of the best but he's not the best. we are all biased but honestly head-to-head in the stanley cup final roy outplayed brodeur, won the cup and took home another mvp award. roy also did not have the same type of defense brodeur has been fortunate to have, yes roy had an incredible offense in front of him but that doesn't take away from his role on the team. i mean just think of what he did in montreal in 1986, purely amazing for rookie goalie. i wish i was old enough to have seen that stanley cup run.
the man has three conn smythe trophies, marty is good but really come on not even a contest. brodeur can also thank roy for the olympic gold. in 2002 roy opted to sit out during the olympics which left his opening position open...marty no dobut played well but that team that year was amazing so no matter which guy they had canada would have won. roy was a cocky sob but he had every right to be because he was and always will be the best.
roy = roi = king. |

She works for the NHL :p However, knowledge and correctness are two separate things, and she's definitely wrong about Roy. Brodeur's dethroning him as we speak, and you could see it in Roy's face that he is realizing it!!!
:)
Just bustin your chops, Wai ;) |

:confused: now that's not fair. i know what i know because i've been a hockey fan since i was little. also i'm a huge avalanche fan :toothless. as for roy, of course he's unhappy! marty is taking away his titles but ultimately we need to look past number of wins. the devils are a great hockey organization obviously but their defense has always been top notch which has greatly helped brodeur. another thing we can credit to my guy roy is the butterfly goalie technique. really look around the league right now and see how many guys do that. he was first, he really revolutionized goaltending in the nhl. there will always be guys like a dominic hasek with no technique and pure skill but think of what patrick did! he is legendary and will always be. in 2003 roy walked away from the game on his own terms...yes that andrew brunett goal will always leave a sour taste in my mouth BUT roy left the nhl fully capable of playing nhl level hockey but he just wanted more out of life.
anyhow, greatest goal roy. greatest hockey player is another debate...let me tell you his name is not wayne gretzky |
