do you buy the beans and then grind? or do you buy pre-ground? |

You should always grind your own beans, right before you brew. And with a burr grinder. And store the beans properly.
Also, starbucks = burnt coffee. Chain coffee = crap coffee. Go to a local small coffee shop. Sumatra or Costa Rican are always nice and dark. |

Sumatra makes me want to vomit, and the beans at this starbucks are usually pretty good. And after the original owner left Rao's, their beans have been worse than starbucks. , I need to start going to Esselon. |

Disagreed. Starbucks = burnt coffee. But, Rao's HAS been going downhill. Shame.
Esselon does make some fine coffee / breakfast. No wonder it has overtaken Lone Wolf as the most popular hipstery-organic-food place for professors to go to. |

To be clear, burnt coffee beans or burnt coffee?
Cause the coffee I won't deny but idk, always found their beans decent. Then again, not like they do any of the roasting, so yeah. |
