I dunno if they are there, but they only do one thing. Make you look retarded and a probably a druggie. Don't even try to argue there's some other reason to have them other than that. The only people who think otherwise are those who care about the lightshows/druggies themselves.
I won't say this necessarily as far as glowsticks go...as long as they are on ropes, because I've seen peeeps who just love doing shows with glowsticks on ropes before, but if they are in hand or are on your fingers, get lost.
