| I'm probably going to wait until it airs on television. No need to buy it twice when it will more than likely be attached to the first season of the show on dvd. |

I actually thought Pegasus was kind of boring... Admiral Cain was an interesting persona, but she only lasted for one episode - they went through like four commanders in five episodes, and I just didn't care anymore. Then they did like three episodes in a row that were psychological profiles or something - the stimulant habit of a random pilot, Starbuck's alcohol problem... yawn.
Didn't get good again until the emergence of the Cylon "heroes" - the idea of Gaius McFancypants being stuck in the head of a Number Six was interesting, as was the idea that Cylons are realizing they are becoming more human (which to them means more sinful).
The religious dynamic of the series is actually what I find to be most interesting - the existential questions of what it means to be human and what it means to have faith. The majority of characters I don't care much for, and I found it exceedingly boring that they spent so much time psychoanalyzing some of them. |

SyFy has a tendency to pick up/make shows that have the production value of a high school play. No thanks :p |

yeah, i forgot about the some of the random 'one off' episodes that didn't do a helluva lot. you're gonna hate much of season 3 (blame the studio, not the writers). much of season 3 is like that.
and cain was in 2 eps :p i thought the whole battle between the two sides of humanity was really well done, and reminded me a bit of B5. |

how can you not have a huge amount of faith in the writers and creators of BSG??? its the best example of fantasy ever seen in the history of television. BSG also has the highest production values of any scifi ever made. so ner!! |

Its stuff like this that makes you sound like zealot and not someone trying to make a credible defense of what they think is good/right.
Though I can't tell if the 'so ner' is a joke or not... which doesn't lend much credence to you either. |

yeah, it does suffer from the blue screen effect, however this is only a problem when real life actors are in the shot. |

Haha, great. Though I have to admit, having 2/3 of humanity taken over at the end of 2.5 has a lot of possibilities...

Yeah, but it didn't last long and didn't seem to be based on much. The "battle" between Roslyn and the military in Season One was more interesting.
And I have no idea what B5 is... I'm kind of a sci fi noob - I prefer my television to be written by Aaron Sorkin. :p |
