Zombie Nation? Was this a joke?

PvD's set at WMC wasnt that great because he just got 45min...But hes still rocking, his TE set was the best trance set so far this year, better than armin and JOC...

btw track 6 and 12 are awsome

I don't know where's the prob? he plays the keys or for thump only one or two keys at the beginning with the loop of the track, it's very in the background, it's hard to explain, if you are understanding ableton and it's variety and his setup you can imagine. it's an alterning filtersound with the key. couldn't explain, you have to hear and to see. maybe I can upload a sample of the same instrument with nearly the right parameters of the strings he's using.

and if you see the atmosphere and the crowd on youtube and read the lines, than you can see everybody sad it was awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSxfA-_n2lo "What else to say Paul Van Dyk Remixing Live Awesome SET he had less than 40 minutes but he used them wisely the CROWD went INSANE! MADNESS!" so you had been there to judge !!

his variety of music had never changed, he had always played harder stuff, and for the big events he is playing more "trance", b/c people are wanting him to play and used to hear. it's obvious that he dislikes female vocal tralala trance and cheesy stuff. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfVztUTywvs)

@djash. you should hear the VONYC Sessions, there is less trance than he's used to play in his big sets. there's a big variety of electronic music, more than in armins show (btw armin is preparing his show with ableton ;))

this human mashup isn't played directly with volcano along. he had rearranged ferry's dub and parts of the club mix and added some others stuff. without the bass-sample of volcano ferry's mixes are really lame.

he played zombie nation and white stripes to cheer the crowd on. like every soccer stadium is playing it before a game. these are tunes everybody knows.

Mark I have to agree with you..

Also with such small slot given to the DJ's at Ultra they have to play a quick energetic set, no time to be experimental and played tracks that might compltely bored the out of the audience.

in PVD's case he only had 50 minutes to play, so he had to make the best out of it and played the tracks that he knows people will go crazy about.

I mean we complain left and right about how Armin's tracklist is soo boring specially for a DJ that gets sooo many demos, blah blah blah, Armin and Paul van Dyk are global DJ's that play for millions of people yearly.

The people who post on TA and other boards are only a small percentage, most of the people at these events don't give a and don't download or listen every set that they play....

thx guys. we are here b/c we love the music and want to play them - so we have to ID the rest of it ;) spring/summer is near, so everything is gonna be good ;)

Klubbingman also plays Zombie Nation in every set:D

I agree that Ferry's remixes on The Human are pure . Pop music like Tiesto nowadays.

I really want to hear that sample PvD used in Thump track.

I dance only during tracks i like, so at Armin's performance in Kiev i danced all the time without silent moments with vocals, hate it, but he spun it too much, and bootleg of Silence and Gareth Emery something, also hate it. But listening PvD's set i choose for sure WTF track and before that Miami Beach. I would just stand and rest, wait till it will end.

Different BPM, very stupid after driving tracks drop some boring slow stuff.

Honestly, i even better to hear at clubs tracks, which i know, released, where i know every moment, when it stops, when melody cames e.t.c., than unreleased stuff, then i have to spend near a half track to understand if i like it or no.

And his keyboard sounds during Human track is awful, just awful, and especialy terrible cacophony at one place in that track.

If he plays only 50 minutes, who needs WTF old stupid track which doesn't fit to his set at all?

And his Vonyc sessions i downloaded from last year only 1 or 2, didn't like them at all. Best radioshows for me at the moment is JOC - Subculture and GDJB.

6th track is awesome, listened today more than 20 times. Will wait for it's title.

when Paul plays keyboard the crowd is going wild :)
the point is that the audience have fun with it...
recorded it sounds strange but Paul plays livesets for the people in club/festival and not for guys listening to his sets at home.
People have pleasure at Paul gigs and thats the whole point. He's trying to be different and that's cool.

let's enjoy the music (armin, paul, joc whatever)
