that was absolutely crazy. i didnt think i'dbe able to stay as long as i did (i was tired)
i wish someone kept a tracklist, there were a lot of crazy songs :O |

The vibe was so good last night!
I thought it would be kinda dead with WMC going on, but I lost count of the number of TA's that I ran into, was outside so much talking with everyone and then all of a sudden JOOP showed up!
Since either the crowd was very friendly or we had all showered in the morning, JOOP even hung around with us before and after his set, we walked out the door with him when security said the club was closed! :)
Moving on to the best part though, the music! Easily one of the best sets I've heard this year, the energy in the room was so contagious...just a look around and almost everyone was dancing with big smiles on their faces!
After about 2 hours, I thought JOOP's set would be ending and I was getting ready to head outside for a world famous quesadilla, but then he and Fei Fei went tag team for at least another hour!
Great DJ, great crowd, great times, see you again soon JOOP! :D

JOOP frinkin' killed it!!! Such a great set. Last time he was in LA was good, but nothing magical. He way upped his game this time. Great tracks, mixing, and energy. Looked like he was really having a lot of fun too. Wasn't expecting a JOOP Fei Fei tag team at the end but that just finished the night off perfectly. Always great to see Fei Fei. Very cool of him to hang out with us until they kicked us out.
Well, after Circus, Steve, Michelle and I weren't quite ready to call it quits. So we decided to head over to Avalon for After Hour knowing it would probably be music we really didn't want to hear. Paid our $35 each, walked in and were floored that at what we heard. TRANCE!!! And great ing trance at that. At the time, we had no idea who the DJ was but he was perfect and had Avalon going off. He was definitely on top of his game. Its been ages since I heard trance in the main room at Avalon and it was nice to be back. After his set, we talked to him on the patio come to find out his name is Bobina and is #28 on DJ Mags 100. I felt really stupid at that point lol. He made three new fans that's for sure.
What a night. Got to hear two AMAZING sets by incredible DJs. Love living in LA.

| That's pretty wild. I had no idea Bobina was playing that night at Avalon. That's a crazy story!! Avalon needs to promote better or something. |

| First time back to Circus in at least 3 years and man was it worth it....A DJ is good when he/she can mix banging tracks...but a DJ is great when he/she can play with the crowd while he/she is mixing banging tracks....Joop definitely was amazingly great that night....Awesome vibe around the dance floor.......the only thing that bothered me a bit was when one of the go go dancers started jumping in front of the decks while he was in the middle of trying to mix in the next track....it went on for at least 3 to 4 tracks....you can tell JOOP was bothered by it....it totally annoyed the hell out of me so I left around 2:30ish.....Red, your go go dancers are "HOT" but please have them stay away from the decks or behind the DJ.....To bad I missed the Fei Fei and JOOP tag team....I have Mad respect on how RED takes care of their guests.......you can sense the Asian hospitality....Feels like family when you're there..... |

Strange. I got emails from Avalon, Spundae, AfterHour Power, and it was posted in this forum as well. |
